About Us


History

The Panhandle Federal Credit Union was founded in October, 1957 by a group of employees of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe railroad. The first financial statement listed 131 members and total assets of $4,087.65.

53 years later, Panhandle Federal Credit Union has opened its field of membership to include anyone who lives, works or worships in Sumner County, Kansas; and, has grown to service 3,788 members with total assets of $41,850,738.

Credit Union membership is established when you open a Regular Share account. The minimum required to open a "share" account is $105.00. To join, you'll only need to fill out a signature card and submit your opening deposit of $105.00 or more.
